There’s something different about playing a set where every track is your own.
This mix brings together a collection of original drum & bass and jungle productions I’ve been working on over the past year. Instead of jumping between different artists and styles, I wanted to create a journey through the different sides of my sound. From soulful liquid rollers and atmospheric jungle to darker bass-driven tracks, halftime grooves, and high-energy dancefloor moments, this mix represents the full range of what I’ve been creating.
Some of these tracks feature my longtime collaborator Sol.ID, whose creativity and shared love for drum & bass have been a huge part of this journey. These collaborations are some of my favorite moments in production because they come from two different perspectives coming together, pushing ideas further, and creating something that neither of us would have made alone.
This mix also reaches back into my roots with a few tracks produced under my original drum & bass alias, Lost Prophet. Including these songs was important because they represent where this journey started and the foundation that continues to influence the Hella Secrets sound today.
Every transition was built with intention, allowing each track to naturally flow into the next. Some moments are melodic and introspective, while others are built around heavy drums, deep sub bass, and enough energy to move a warehouse. Together, these tracks tell the story of where my production has been and where it’s headed.
One of the things I love most about drum & bass is how much ground the genre can cover. A single mix can move from warm pads and emotional melodies into gritty breakbeats, dubby basslines, rave-inspired synths, and experimental sound design while still feeling connected. That’s the feeling I wanted to capture here.
This set represents the direction of Hella Secrets as a producer. Every track reflects the influences that continue to shape my music: classic jungle, soulful liquid, UK soundsystem culture, deep bass music, and modern electronic production. Each song has its own identity, but when they come together, you can hear the thread connecting them all.
Whether you’re listening on headphones, in the car, or through a proper sound system, I hope this mix takes you somewhere. It’s meant to be played loud.
Thanks for spending an hour with my music. If you find a favorite track, let me know. There’s plenty more on the way.
