Hella Secrets takes Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie” and flips it into a borderline liquid roller. 2 step drums, rolling basslines and a heavy 808 underneath it. Kept the bounce of the original but pushed it into a DnB direction.
The goal was to keep that unmistakable West Coast feel while giving it a completely different rhythm and pace. The vocal still carries the character of the original, but the drums and bass turn it into something that could sit comfortably in a late night DnB set.
