Every now and then a track comes along that immediately makes you want to open your DAW and start experimenting. For me, Bou’s “Bounce” was one of those records.
The original has an energy that’s impossible to ignore. The drums hit hard, the groove is infectious, and the vocal instantly creates a reaction whenever it drops. Rather than completely reinventing the track, my goal was to preserve that energy while adding some of the elements that define my own sound.
I focused on sharpening the breaks, reinforcing the low end, and creating more movement throughout the arrangement. The result is a remix that stays true to the spirit of the original while introducing a different flavor on the dance floor.
This remix was built with sound systems in mind. Heavy subs, rolling drums, and plenty of tension-and-release moments make it a track that comes alive when played loud.
