Kenya Grace’s “Strangers” was one of those rare records that brought jungle influences into the pop world without losing its identity. The original already had incredible energy, so my goal wasn’t to reinvent it. I wanted to lean even further into its drum & bass roots and give it a darker, heavier edge.
This remix is built around hard-hitting drums, classic breaks, rolling percussion, and neurofunk-inspired basslines that add a whole new level of intensity. The unmistakable vocal remains the heart of the track, while chopped vocal edits and layered sound design create fresh moments throughout the remix.
I’ve always loved the darker side of drum & bass, and this remix gave me the chance to explore that while staying true to what made the original so special. It keeps the emotion and atmosphere of the vocal but surrounds it with bigger drops, heavier low-end, and a more aggressive energy from start to finish.
Whether it’s shaking the speakers in your car or hitting a packed dancefloor, this remix was made to be played loud. It respects the spirit of the original while taking it deeper into the world of underground drum & bass.
I hope you enjoy my take on “Strangers.” Thanks for listening, and there’s plenty more on the way.
